They say a week is a long time in politics and it seems this is even more true of the Vendee Globe after this week’s remarkable re-shuffle of the top of the leaderboard.
Yacht Racing Life website editor and Vendee Globe skipper Conrad Colman pick their way through a remarkable seven days in the South Atlantic that has seen long-time leader Yannick Bestaven relegated to sixth place, while Boris Herrmann and Louis Burton have staged remarkable comebacks to both be within striking distance of the lead.
Conrad and Justin discuss how and why this did it all happened and what is likely to happen next as the leading formation pushes past Recife on the eastern point of Brazil and onward towards the Doldrums and an equator crossing back into the northern hemisphere.
