America’s Cup holders Emirates Team New Zealand have released a spectacular video of the team’s AC75 foiling monohull capsizing during training in Auckland, New Zealand – the venue for the 36th edition of the America’s Cup scheduled for March 2021.
The Kiwi boat capsized after appearing to skyrocket almost off its foils and then crashing back down in an explosion of spray, before slowly rounding up and gently tipping over. The team’s shore crew were quick to right the boat, seemingly by simply towing the bow into the wind. In typical Kiwi style, with no major damage to the hull or rig the unflappable New Zealand sailors went on to finish their training session.
Good to see the race today with prada doing well in there race winning two times good they changed something on there boat too beat the English Boat….so fast o the water today…..
