America's Cup

In what can only be viewed as a super classy sporting gesture, the Italian fashion house Prada – the presenting sponsor of the 36th America’s Cup – has presented all 150 members of the winning team, Emirates Team New Zealand, with Prada-designed silver medals manufactured by an Italian laboratory of high-quality handcrafted silverware.

The nine centimetre diameter medals weigh 150 grams and have the Mark Newson –designed ’36th America’s Cup presented by Prada’ logo on one side, and on the reverse the words “Winner – Auckland – New Zealand – 2021”.

They were presented to each team member personally by Francesco Longanesi Cattani, Prada’s CEO representative and title sponsor liaison, at the Emirates team New Zealand base in Auckland.
